Costs: Costs include Duke University tuition and an additional program fee to cover housing, some meals and excursions.
+ Depends on whether the student has a passport, is securing a new passport, or is renewing an old passport. ++ Varies with East or West Coast departure. A 150 euro security deposit will be collected in Catania. All or some of this amount will be refunded at the end of the semester.
Financial aid: Duke students receiving financial aid are eligible for aid for this program (work-study funds must be converted to loans). Students are individually responsible for making the necessary arrangements with the Office of Undergraduate Financial Aid and the Bursar. Non-Duke students are not eligible to receive financial aid at Duke and should contact their home institutions for financial aid information. Billing will be handled through the Duke University Bursar's Office. Scholarships: Scholarships have ranged from less than $1000 to over $10,000.
