Postcard from Abroad
Dear Global Education Office for Undergraduates:
At least 20 cities. We spent at least a day in at least 20 cities across Europe. Could I have gained more experience, expanded my perspective, or enriched my life any more? Certainly not.
There is no lightness of heart, no faked enthusiasm, no subversion in the intensity of the Duke in Flanders program. I have in my head the maps of more Dutch cities than the Dutch themselves. And along with it the political, economical, religious, and social history of every interesting aspect of the Dutch culture.
And this? The abbey church Mont Saint Michel, on the Northern coast of France - we left no experience untouched. Amiens, Beuvais, Rouen, et Paris as well, and that was just one weekend.
Open up to the world, and it will open up to you.
