Passport & Visa Information
All participants must have a valid passport. For instructions, visit the State Department website.
Visas are required of U.S. citizens and can be obtained at the port of entry in Istanbul. For more information, see the Turkish Consulate's website (click on English link at upper right hand of the screen). Non-U.S. citizens should check with the Turkish Consulate for the proper visa procedure for their nationality. For some nationalities, it may be necessary to obtain the visa prior to departure.
An International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is required. Duke students may purchase this card for $28 through the ISIC website. Processing of the card takes between 4-15 days. Please order your card well in advance of your departure.
