Accommodations & Meals
Students are housed in the Bogazici University dormitories, in single rooms with high-speed Internet connections. They will have full access to the library and campus facilities such as the cafeterias, gym, and swimming pools. Meals can be purchased at inexpensive restaurants, fast-food places, and cafes within walking distance of the dormitories. The dormitories are within walking distance of the university campus, and located at a lively section of the city. Public transportation to other parts of the city through the municipal bus system, subway, and ferryboats is available, inexpensive, and easily accessible.
Istanbul is generally a safe and tourist-friendly city in comparison to other cities of the world of similar size (approximately 10 million people.) It is culturally very lively, with many outdoor concerts and festivals going on through the summer.
