This itinerary is subject to change at the faculty director's discretion.
Saturday, May 19: Required arrival date for students
Note: Students departing from the U.S. for the Ghana program will need to take an overnight flight leaving Friday, May 18.
May 20: Orientation in country
May 22: Homestays begin
May 23-25 Program classes at Univ of Ghana begin
May 26: Trip to Esatern Coast
May 31: Home stay ends; planning for big trip begins
June 1 to June 8: big trip to Beyin, Obuasi, and Kumasi
June 15 to 16: overnight trip
June 25: Final Exam
June 28: Farewell group dinner
Friday, June 29: Program end date. This is the earliest date that students can leave the summer program.
Students are expected to make their own flight arrangements to Ghana and must provide the program director with individual flight information in advance.
Given the intense nature of this program, late arrival and/or early departure is not permitted.
