Program costs include Duke University tuition and an additional program fee to cover housing, 10 meals per week, and excursions.
The following lists of fees and expenses should provide students with a realistic assessment of the cost involved in traveling to Rome and studying at ICCS. If you have any questions regarding ICCS fees and expenses, contact Duke University's Office of Study Abroad.
2009-2010 projected expenses (may be subject to change):
Tuition = $18,742.50
Program Fee = $3,930 (includes books)
Non-member Fee* = $300 (if applicable)
Transcript fee (non-Duke students) = $40
Residence Permit = $110 (includes required Italian insurance, emergency care only)
Airfare** = $2,000
Weekend meals = $1,000
Miscellaneous = $1,000
Total*** = $26,822.50
* The fee for non-consortium members is due at the time of acceptance, is non-refundable.
** Varies with East or West Coast departure.

Financial aid: Duke students receiving financial aid are eligible for aid for this program (work-study funds must be converted to loans). Students are individually responsible for making the necessary arrangements with the Office of Undergraduate Financial Aid and the Bursar. Non-Duke students are not eligible to receive financial aid at Duke and should contact their home institutions for financial aid information. Billing will be handled through the Duke University Bursar's Office.
Scholarships: Scholarships have ranged from less than $1000 to over $10,000. For details on applying for the scholarship, see Financial Aid & Scholarships.
