Stacey McGowen, Assistant Professor
Stacey McGowen is currently finishing her DPhil in Classical Archaeology at the University of Oxford (UK). She recieved her MA in Classical Art History and
Archaeology and her BA in Classics from the University of Virginia. She has worked on excavations at Marcham/Frilford and at Dorchester-on-Thames in the UK.
Prof. McGowen's research focuses primarily on
Roman provincial sculpture, but she is also interested in Roman sculpture in general, Greek art and religion, and the intersection of ancient literature and art.
