Accommodations
Yunnan Normal University’s Institute for Chinese and International Studies will host the spring semester Duke in China program. The Institute has excellent faculty and staff, and has built a reputation for its Chinese program for international students. Students are regularly housed in a newly renovated university dormitory for international students. Roommates are assigned from amongst the other students on the semester program, although host family and Chinese roommate options are available.
Host Family/ Chinese Roommate
A host family option will be available for students who have had more than two years of Chinese before the start of the program. There is a small supplemental fee, to be determined, for the host family option.
Students have the option, for an additional charge, to live with a Chinese roommate. Students who do not choose to live with a Chinese roommate will share a room with another Duke Study in China student.
